Taking care of your porcelain

All of our products are dishwasher safe. To keep your china looking shiny for as long as possible, it is important to use rinse aid if you are using a dishwasher, this will also help protect the china from scratches.

Scratches can sometimes be caused by certain metal in sharp cutlery, most common are black lines from the metal in cutlery and are not actual scratches.

Some citric acid mixed with water will usually remove these.

Tea and coffee can stain, by mixing dishwasher liquid/powder with hot water and leaving it for a few hours and then washing up and rinsing carefully, the staining should disappear.

We recommend you rinse your china as soon as possible after it’s been in contact with food, this is because some food contains strong acids which can stain the glaze.

Harsh abrasives like steel wool should not be used as they might damage the glaze.

Please check that there is nothing sharp along the foot ring which might scratch another plate, carefully remove the sharp bit with a fine sand paper.

Please also take care not to slide the plates on top of each other when placing them in a cabinet, carefully put them on top of each other instead. Bone china is not oven safe, stoneware is. All of our products can be used in the microwave, except for the ones with gold and silver colors.
